Details:
"An unending roll call of influences with an overall melodic core." - Cincinnati's CityBeat

Striking a delicate balance between earnest and zany, Schooley Station's credo is that music should be fun. Their craft is both introspective and optimistic, and these southern Ohioans can trace their roots from an acoustic duo to a dynamic five-piece. Taking their name from a nearby abandoned railway station, Schooley Station prides themselves in taking audiences on an incisive and unique journey.

The debut record, Bleed, is a honed, vibey collection of thoughtful melodies with solid folk-pop sensibilities, all the while hinting at the decades of rock influences. Produced in Knoxville by Don Coffey, Jr. (of Superdrag), it neatly shows Schooley Station's musing nature, saving much of their whimsy for live performances.

"Their power pop sound is reminiscent of Built to Spill and The Bears, until they shift gears into a Coldplay-esque, acoustic-centered number . . . [Schooley Station is] just as comfortable playing a small bar in Cincinnati as opening for a national act." - randomville.com
