"...Shoegazers Blue Light Curtain are creating a tech-infused wave that will have A&R reps salivating."--Ma'Chell Duma Lavassar THE STRANGER (Seattle Music Paper)

Blue Light Curtain formed in the fall of 2002 with a mutual understanding between the three band members to make dreamy primitive music.

The band consists of Paul Groth (Baritone guitar, Vox), Laura Bratton (Synth, Vox) and Sky Lynn (Drums). Blue Light Curtain also utilizes a drum machine which plays a pivotal role in the band's sound.

Groth and Bratton have been singing together in different projects for over 12 years, taking the vocal influences from duos like Sparhawk/Parker (Low), Shields/Butcher (My Bloody Valentine) and Kaplan/Hubley (Yo La Tengo). The lyrics are simplistic and repetitive adding to the hypnotic musical drone. Rhythmically, Lynn drives the group's dynamics by playing with and against the synthetic pulses.

Blue Light Curtain has been playing in and around Seattle for the past four years, appearing at the following venues: The Sunset Tavern, The Crocodile, The Chop Suey, The Comet, et al.
