Details:
A strong rhythm and lead acoustic guitar player yet with enough individuality to make him unique in a style all of his own would best describe Bull Harman. Raised in a family that centered on bluegrass, Bull began playing the guitar at the age of 12 and along with his sister Lori on bass and his brother Mike on banjo they formed "The Harman Trio". They traveled all across the Midwest and won several contests as individuals and as a band. Bull grew up loving and respecting his musical talent. They recorded their first album in 1977 entitled "A Little Bluegrass and a Lotta Bull." After the marriage of his brother Mike, they added his wife Stacy to the band and became "The Harman Family". Along with this change came another album entitled "Warmin Up". Bull was married in 1982 and his wife Tammy also joined the band, coming from a musical family herself. Thus came their third album, all gospel, entitled "Our Sunday Best." Bull has traveled with his family for the past 20 years performing at festivals, fairs, picnics and church functions. The Harman Family performs annually to a sell out crowd at LCCC in Godfrey, Illinois and are well known through out the Midwest bluegrass circuit. 1996 - 1998 found Bull traveling and performing with Rhonda Vincent and The Rage. Their performances included several appearances on the Grand Ole Opry, Ernest Tubb's Midnight Jamboree, Nashville's Famous Station Inn, IBMA Awards Show, Silver Dollar City and numerous festivals and fairs from Florida to Colorado. Bull's quick humor and wittiness make him an asset to any band he performs with. He is an accomplished songwriter and has his own publishing company through BMI called "Bullmeister Melodies" His first solo recording project is titled "Bull's Eye" and contains 7 of his original tunes. Guests include many of Bull's family and friends, including Alison Krauss, Rhonda Vincent, Tina Adair, Keith Adair, Bob Black, Rob McDonnell, Kevin Liley, Cecil Tinnon, Kirk Brandenberger, "4 Sisters and A Cousin" and of course the Harman Family. This CD contains every type of music that showcases the talent that Bull has. Hard driving, easy flowing, traditional, contemporary and uniqueness are the words that would best describe what you will hear on his first solo project. Respect and dedication to the instrument he plays are what you will feel. His second release "Rosewood, Spruce & Ebony", once again puts Bull Harman in the spotlight. This project seems more focused with Harman in full control of the ride. Guests include Carl Jackson, Gena Britt, Jeremy Chapman, Valerie Smith, Rhonda Vincent, Bo Jamison, Randy Kohrs, Ned Luberecki, and the Bull's Eye Band he currently tours with, featuring Tammy Harman, Robin Roller and Cecil Tinnon.

"As a guitarist, composer and songwriter, Bull Harman stands alone. He is not a clone. He is not an imitator. He is a singularly outstanding guitar genius who hears music in a way that is totally unique to him and what you get in return are signature songs done Bull's way. Anyone who fails to get the "Bull's Eye" will eventually discover that they've missed the bluegrass target entirely this year"
