This collection of country music that I have written is the latest of my varied styles of writing. It is a big part of my growing up in a small country town in eastern Washington. I believe in writing from the heart and just whatever I feel like writing when it hits me at the moment. It's the most honest approach I can think of to express something deep inside a person. I believe this is the way music should be.
I can't say I am a great writer and I am sure not rich by it but I love to sing.
I have a lot of favorite country artists like Tim Mcgraw, Kenney Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Lonestar, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and a whole bunch of others.
I also love to explore other sounds and ambient moods. I am putting together a new ambient cd as you read this called "Electric Juice" under the band name ZemZada
My favorite artists include Sting, Coldplay, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Patrick Ohearn, Dido, Andreas Vollenweider, Supertramp, and there are so many more I can't begin to name them all.
Oh yeah and there is a HUGE Alan Parsons influence going on here!

The greatest all-time artist for me is Sting. His musical genius is at the top of my list. He is incredible at his gift. I think I own every Sting cd he put out including most of the imports and singles just so I could hear the flip sides and "B" cuts.
Patrick Ohearn is next in line and my all-time favorite for new age music. He put out a cd called "So Flows The current" as well as many other great ones. I believe I have listened to his music several times a week for the past 10 years. His ability to blend subtlety and soundscapes is some of the best I have ever heard.
So if you mix that in with a whole lot of gospel and saturate it with classic 70's rock, Heart, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Marvin and Mowtown you end up with a music dog named Brent Bennett and that's me:-)

If you like only country music don't freak out on me cuz of the wierd ZemZada name. I am just Brent Bennett. ZemZada came to be after a few bottles of wine at my guitarist buddies house while we were writing some music that doesn't really have a genre. It was part of a scat I was singing in the song "My Baby's Asleep" and the guys said hey "ZemZada" that's a great name for this kind of music. Anyway......my name is Brent and I hope you like some or all of what you hear.
