I am a musician / music teacher in Ontario who is striking out into the digital world with my first CD, Happy Tunes for Uncertain Times. I chose this title as partly sarcastic and partly true; the way things seem to be in the world right now.
The tunes were created as a response to that title...music to try to bring a little happines to people's lives in these uncertain times. They are all instrumental except Friday 4:20 pm, which has a spoken message in the middle of it.
The tunes range from Dance / Hip hop influences ( Sunday. B, C, D ) to Funk ( Paging Dr Funk and Your Next Patient has Arrived, to Reggae (Pachelbel's Reggae ) to Electro- world music ( Breathe Deep, Friday 4:20 pm) to Traditional Cool Jazz ( Somethin' for Me Bro') to Progressive Rock ( Five by Three).
I don't profess to have a "style" but maybe by not having any one style I succeed in having a style.
I just hope you like the music...it is the type of music I would listen to if it existed before me. But since it didn't it was up to me to create it and each one is a part of me and my personality.
