Details:
Jeff Keith Foeh has spent more years than heâd like to admit playing (and occasionally even working) all across the great state of Texas. His passion for performing his own brand of original music has taken him from dive bars to grand halls, honky tonks to auditoriums, and even on occasion out in the middle of some field.
Jeff recorded his first studio album, Black and White, in 2006 with the Texas rock band Blind Carbon Copy. That band eventually morphed into Redneck Jedi where Jeff and lead guitarist, Dennis Phillips, wrote and recorded the next studio album, Road Runner. Within a few months of that the band was cutting their next record: A live recording in Longhorn Caverns State Park called Unplugged and Underground.
The original material was well received and several songs from those recordings garnered some attention, getting good rotation on radio stations around the state. âI Believeâ broke into the top 100 on the Texas Regional Radio Report in the summer of 2009. The band toured the club, rally and festival circuit heavily in support of it. So heavily in fact, that the Jedi hit the proverbial brick wall.
In 2010 Jeff began experimenting with writing more in the Texas Country/Red Dirt/Americana/Whatever You Want To Call It genre and began feeling out the songs at acoustic clubs and events. He teamed up with singer/songwriter/guitarist extraordinaire, Mark Sebby and formed Lost In Texas in the fall of 2010. It was initially promoted as an acoustic duo but quickly morphed into a full band with the addition of Mike Poss on bass and Scott Rozen on drums. The band played heavily throughout central Texas and beyond. By March of 2011 the band was ready to record and headed into Salmon Peak Recording Studio to cut their first album together. The multi-talented Mark Sinko of Salmon Peak produced the record and saw it through to completion in August of 2011.
As the summer of 2011 wrapped up, Jeff Keith Foeh and Mark Sebby reflected on the direction of their musical careers and came to the conclusion there was just too much music between the two of them to be contained in one band! They decided to part ways but vowed to support each other in their respective pursuits. Youâll most likely catch them on stage together again at some point in the near future. Mark formed the Mark Sebby Band and Jeff, joined by Rozen, Poss and new guitarist, Jim Angel embarked on a new path with the Jeff Keith Band.
