So, if I was gonna pick 3 songs for a sampler, I'd pick:

Track #1, "I HOPE SO", It's a good example of your love songs, and I particularly like the guitar on this one.

Track #3 "SILENT PARTNER" (written 1969). Still a good song, message still true decades later. And sonically, that english-music-hall-shuffle is an interesting contrast in the middle of this very acoustic record.

My third choice is Track #10, LANDMINES. I mean it as a compliment when I say this song has way more 'gravitas' than your more sensitive balladeer stuff, and I really like the way it makes it's point. I've asked you before why I don't hear more of your sense of humour in your writing. Landmines gets kind of sarcastically funny in the second verse (okay funny in a very dark way, admittedly) and I think it really works.
