BIO:
Steve "The Instigator" Matherly, a native of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee (a small town outside of Chattanooga) has been representing his side of the tracks since DAY ONE, even with his first ever recorded song "From Soddy 2 Chatt" with label mate Mr.Homie. Although he did not record his first track until 2002, he has been writing poetry/verses since his days in middle school, and performed several unrecorded tracks at his HIGH SCHOOL talent show back in '01.

Mr.Matherly has spent a lot of time in high school rapping -- in hallways, in class -- anything to make people laugh, keep his friends entertained. It was his fellow class mates & community who came up with his alias. "Everyone in school used to say I was an instigator. That was the general public consensus," laughing. "I have a big mouth I guess."

Refusing to give in to the general look/act of your everyday rapper, The Instigator proudly spits about things he witnesses and feels on the daily. With music ranging on topics about his views on politics (Will It Ever Stop?) and relgion (Deserve Hell), to venting about back stabbing friends (Follow the Leaders) and other artist who don't give the south the respect it deserves (Ye-Aint Hott).

"Most artist are scared to try something diffrent, to take chances. I on the other hand just do what I feel and let loose on the mic. Something just snaps in me, and whatevers on my chest -- I just release it."
