Monkey Junk is my second project. Inspired by the music of the 1960s and 1970s, it includes psychedelia, as well as jazz, funk, blues, rock, and electronic music. The songs are interspersed with segues. All of which performed by Zanerbob, except where indicated.

Down by the Jackfruit Tree - Oh the tropics! How lovely! The percussion is everything from fire crackers, to wine corks popping.
Rush Hour in Space City - Introduction to all the monkey junk.
Big Blue Sky ( guitar Les Moore, drums Rex Carr ) - inspired by a song from âWonderwallâ by George Harrison.
Groovinâ with Critters ( Critters ) The whole backyardâs singing along! Drums recorded in a special way make for an interesting sound.
It Feels Like Love (wah guitar Les Moore, other guitar Zanerbob ) Guess what... a love song!
Garden of Butterflies - Xenochrony - the japanese koto, flute, and drum were later fitted with the backward guitar which took amazingly little alteration to fit.
Funk U - Funk instrumental extravaganza!
Out On Magnanimity - An asteroid discovered just after 9-11-01 was named for the human kindness shown by responders at ground zero. Psychedelic, man!
Iâm In a Funk (guitar Les Moore, ) - Another funky extravaganza, the words are an interpolation of a speech by the famous blues man, Son House.

No Tengo la Bolsa
(A day in the life of a roadie)

The prelude to the song is an audial account of a day at the fancy hotels or country clubs to set up the band for the party. Bits of roady sounds, and stories reverberate over the backdrop of hotel ballroom-type sounds. The ever-present end-of-the-party woman who canât find her purse is celebrated in the tejano style tune,
