Cornhusker Kid is the brainchild of the University of Nebraska at Omahaâs Dr. Franklin Thompson, a professor of race and human relations. It is a collector's piece, especially crafted for listeners who consider themselves to be Cornhusker enthusiasts. The "Husker Nation"network of fans is a worldwide phenomenon. This album is dedicated to all of those Husker fans whether they live in Nebraska, California, Colorado, Texas, Iowa, Florida, or New York.

Thompson (aka, Flea Flicka, Cornhusker Kid) is one of independent music's leading writers of songs with a social message. He is also the architect of the genre of music known as the Selah Soundâa unique style of message music set to funk, pop, and hip-hop beats. The uniqueness of the Selah Sound is that it encourages you to think, while it also makes you celebrate and dance. The addition of the P-Funk piece to this projects adds an additional element of fun to the overall theme.

While others have superseded him in producing more commericial projects, Thompson has established himself as one of the Midwest's unquestionable leaders of urban music with an educational outreach. He effectively uses his craft to bring about positive change to his community.
