Thomas Von Ohlen was born in Camden, NJ and grew up with music constantly playing through his family's house. His early influences were Johnny Cash, The Beatles, Don McLean, then Billy Joel, Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, and Steven Curtis Chapman as the years rolled on. He began composing songs on the piano by ear at the age of 12 and soon after picked up the guitar. Music to him is an expression of emotions, an outlet for the inner struggles we all deal with.
Truth Be Told is his debut project, with all songs and lyrics written by Thomas. These passionate songs are lyrical summaries of some of his life experiences, driven by strong drum tracks and unique, vivid guitar leads. His songs always leave you with a feeling of peace and hope. His melodic singing and smooth harmonies will have you singing along after the first line.
Currently Thomas sings with some of the phenomenal musicians that play at the restaurants he owns in SW Florida, as well as other musicians in the area. He also sings and plays guitar for the group Red Town every Saturday night at CLF in Cape Coral, FL.
Three of his songs have been used for the sound track of two different episodes of the reality TV show "portOcall" which is viewed by over 50 million households in the US. For more info you can visit portocalltv.com and look up the Salem,MA episode.
