Details:
Born in a small basement in Madison, Wisconsin. Things Fall Apart began as a side project, as an outlet for the boiled-down elements left over from, and left out of, the membersâ other bands past and present. In the autumn of 2002 three friends, Dec Dwyer on drums, Jethro Ford and Chris Langbehn on guitars, began with nothing more than the music in mind, to flesh out a hand-full of driving rock songs.

Over the next two years the part-time projectâs sound became more and more refined the intention behind the songs more and more serious. By that spring it was clear that this band was no longer just a side project but a group with a relationship and a sound all itâs own. Jethro began designing patches and t-shirts which the band would eventually begin screen printing themselves in their basement. In July of 2003 when long-time friend Jake Zahares stepped in to take up bass duties TFA was finally complete both in sound and as a unit. It was time to take the music out of the studio. Things Fall Apart played their first two shows in two separate venues on August 29th, 2003.

In September of 2003 the band release a 3 song demo CD and began playing locally on a regular basis. Finally, in January of 2004 the band self-released a self-titled, 7-song, EP CD. In the early spring of 2004 TFA embarked on their first tour, which would ultimately leave them stranded in hotel in a dry city in Texas awaiting the repair of a cracked engine block. Fast forward to 2006 when Things Fall Apart reconviens to record a brand new 4 song EP also out on Crustacean Records.

Things Fall Apart perform with a voracious intensity, and raw energy playing host to sharp, honest, and conscious lyrics.
