Details:
It seemed that from a very early age, Trinidadian born Kenny Wallace was destined to accomplish great things in music.

Born in the little fishing village of La Lune, Moruga, he was drafted into the village steelpan orchestra at the tender age of seven as a lead tenor pan player. By the time he was fourteen, although he was then the youngest member of the band, he had not only learned to play all the other instruments, but also had become its musical director.

But Kenny is one who always looks forward to new challenges, and achieving greater heights, and so very soon he was captivated by the sounds of the brass, woodwind and other instruments of the the big bands that played at the various parties and functions which he frequently attended. On most of these occasions he would become oblivious of the dancing taking place around him and instead would just stand close to the orchestra, taking in the sound of the band and listening to the intricate arrangements of the various tunes it was playing. It was from moments like those that the decision to one day be able to arrange music for a big orchestra manifested.

Driven by this desire, Kenny soon not only became the bassist in a small orchestra, but also its musical arranger. This led to his becoming the player/arranger for several other orchestras during his young career. After several years of this, Kenny one day decided to stop playing and concentrate solely on orchestration. He never played in an orchestra from that day but instead turned his attention to strictly composition and orchestration.

His musical ability led him to be come an arranger for several top calypso singers not only in his own country but others like Barbados, St. Croix and St. Thomas. He also did numerous musical arrangements for school children who sang in calypso competitions. His most notable arrangement was of the song "Spring Garden" done for calypsonian Ras Iley of Barbados. This won the best song on the street for the Barbados carnival festival that year and became a big hit all over the Caribbean and other parts of the world. This was followed up by an arrangement of another winner the following year; the song, "Can't Find Me Brother", this time done for calypsonian Red Plastic Bag, also of Barbados.

On numerous occasions Kenny was asked to be a judge of calypso competitions and other talent shows, many times having the role of chief judge of the particular event. From these experiences, valuable knowledge and expertise in the music industry were acquired.

Kenny's achievements are much too numerous to mention here, but one of the most noteworthy of them was when he became the Musical Director of the Festival Band of the island of St. Thomas carnival celebrations. This he did for fourteen consecutive years, working with many of the best calypso artistes in the world. Some of these included the Mighty Sparrow, Lord Kitchener, Chalkdust, David Rudder, Rose, Gabby, Red Plastic Bag, Baron and Swallow. But Kenny soon became a born again Christian and in 1999 he asked to be relieved of this job when he migrated to the United States.

Kenny then began to concentrate on the composition of gospel music. Using his vast experience and Caribbean background, he concentrated mainly on calypso and reggae rhythms. This led to the production of his debut album: "The Power".

Through all of this however, Kenny has fervently maintained, that these achievements could only have been attained through the intervention of The Holy Spirit.
