Cinematic Electronica - Sountracks for your mind.
9 MP3 Songs
ELECTRONIC: Trance, ELECTRONIC: Industrial
Details:
I am a storyteller by nature and even though I am an accomplished magazine writer, I have difficulties putting my scripts and narratives into words. I find myself lacking the endurance to pen all the details that are required to believably tell the tale. However, I've always been very inspired by music, especially soundtracks and electronic music. As a true movie buff I often buy soundtracks to re-imagine the movie and even purchase soundtracks to movies that I haven't seen yet and make up my own stories as I listen. I am also a fan of game soundtracks (and games per se), especially Japanese and Electronica style. Music creates vivid mental images and stories in my mind which I then translate into words and combine it all with computer graphics, pencil drawings and photography.
Many childhood experiences helped me to develop a deep appreciation for music. I've been composing music since I was a child but I rarely got to the point of actually preserving my compositions. I particularly enjoyed writing music for several of the stories I had in my head (most of the stories, too, never made it on paper). Over the years my interest in writing stories and music grew parallel to each other but it wasn't until I moved to the US (to marry my sweetheart) that I finally started taking things more serious. I discovered that writing stories is much easier for me when I am listening to music. I also noticed again that with each story I (often subconsciously) compose a soundtrack. Based on this observation I've decided to change my approach to writing and first compose the soundtrack and then write the story while listening to it.
"Infiltrator â A Musicnovel" is a soundtrack for a movie that plays out in your mind (also referred to as a Musicnovel). Mixing progressive electronica with influences of classical and soundtrack music it conveys the story of a special operative in the not so distant future, inspired by various movies like Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, Bourne Identity. The protagonist's primary objective is to infiltrate highly secure installations and sabotage key objectives while gathering further intelligence for the next objective. His main ability is to move silently and undetected, not by using high-tech equipment, but due to the ability to manipulate a person's perception. People simply don't notice him when he walks by or departs, talking to them one minute and being completely out of sight the next.
