The Squares have just completed their album "Life As a Square", out of 12 Bar Productions in St. Louis Missouri . The album -- consisting mostly of catchy, high energy rock anthems, as well as a few strong, passionate slow songs -- is the first of three Squares releases. The songs provide a witty and colorful soundtrack to the life of a "Square"Â, or the average youthful suburbanite, like found in Chesterfield Missouri . The songs tackle issues from high school girls to teachers, and what it's like getting into trouble with both. Yet many of the songs transcend these bounds and leave universally understood themes such as perseverance and the troubles of humanity. These themes all wrap around classic musical melodies and progressions that keep the disk fun and enjoyable from beginning to end.
