Details:
Thom Shepherd was born in St. Louis, Missouri and grew up in Stephens City, Virginia. He is a graduate of George Mason University and moved to Nashville in 1993.

He is the writer of Craig Morganâs #1 hit single, âRedneck Yacht Clubâ which was recently certified Gold by the RIAA for 100,000 downloads. Heâs also written songs for Montgomery Gentry, Pam Tillis, Buddy Jewell, Kevin Fowler, George Canyon, bluegrass artist Ronnie Bowman, and Cledus T. Judd.

But the song heâs proudest of is Riding with Private Malone. The song, recorded by David Ball, went to #1 and won an Achievement Award from the Nashville Songwriters Association, voted on by their members as âthe song you wish you had written.â Thom even got to be in the video, playing the title role.

Thom performs regularly with his band, the Twang Thang, and has entertained troops in Alaska, Europe, and Greenland for Armed Forces Entertainment.
