Jack R. Dempsey Jr. (BIO)

I did the lead guitar, rhythm, and bass on the âTexas Styleâ CD with terry who I have known for about 21 years shortly after I got out of high school. Iâve always had a guitar in my hand since I can remember, my dad and uncle had a small band in the early to middle 60âs until they both got married and you can fill in the blanks from there. That was the end of the âBlues Rockersâ. When I met up with Terry I found out that he had written about 3 songs and we use to play them and every other old Country song we knew. At that time he would sing and play chords, I would play chords and do the bass line at the same time. This progressed and I learned how to play lead and still learn more everyday. I do have a wife and 2 children ages 6 and 8 and hold down a regular job as an alarm/automatic gate guy. As far as I know, terry has 12 or more songs ready to put down and we plan to work on them soon. The last regular âgigâ we had was here in town (San Antonio) on Tuesday nights at a local bar which lasted a little over a year and was a learning experience. All of these songs and some others, produced many free drinks, some cash, and we had a good time doing them live. I would like to take this space to explain the drummer. The name Leroy was given in the bar by all of the customers because itâs an electronic drummer, and I thought that it only fitting that he/it have a last name so I thought âDeAutomaticoâ was funny and sounded Italian. Although we did have a real drummer in the bar most of the time, they donât want to work free for recording so we did our best and I hope you enjoy this CD especially the lead parts, ha ha.

Terence J. Fisher (BIO)

Iâm the song writer, chord arranger, rhythm and bass player on all of the songs except the âCactus Flower Bluesâ which Jack Jr. did all by himself. I met up with Jack Jr. in the middle 80âs when a friend of his from high school who shall remain nameless, rented a room form me. Shortly after that we found that we had music in common and use to get together around the picnic table, where I always had to sing, which because of the encouragement of Jack Sr. (Jack Jrâs) father I continued to do and it just seems to work out. Jack Sr. always played a mean bass and good lead when we got together although was not able to be on this recording due to distance. I have always found inspiration in different things, places, people etc. but not until recently had I start putting these things together in the form of songs then putting music to them. Itâs just something I enjoy doing. Now Iâm renting houses, and putting in swimming pools for my income although I like making music better, we all have to make a living (see track 16) working in the grindstone (see track 18) I think you can figure out where these songs come from and yes I could go on. The pictures were taken in a little town called Castroville at an antique shop. Itâs a very old and historic town I really like to go to and try all of the German food. The idea was to show more of the old buildings on the CD cover but only so much fits on a 5âx5â cover, besides that we liked the color on the building. I do have 12 more songs ready to go. I hope you have fun listening to these and a few may even make you laugh because there true.
