Terry is a native of Amarillo,Texas, who is a songwriter and recording artist that has performed in numerous venues in the southwestern part of the United States.
In Feb.,1998, he became a regular performer on the "Big Texan Opry",at the Big Texan Steak Ranch, in Amarillo,Tx., singing Country and Gospel music.In May,1998, he was awarded the "Outstanding Male Performer of the Year ",
presented by the Country Music Talent Association(CMTA). He performed and emcee'd shows regularly at the "Big Texan Opry" for several years and was instrumental in production of, and performing in, a "Branson" style show called a "Musical Review of Old Route 66", performed in the "Cowboy Palace" of the Big Texan in the summers of 1999 and 2000.
Terry is a member of the Country Gospel Music Association(CGMA), the Christian Country Music Association(CCMA), and a member of ASCAP. He is currently the music director for "The Country Church" of Amarillo and sings with
the "Top of Texas Quartet", (which was awarded 1st place in the Gospel Group Division by the CMTA). He enjoy's singing and entertaining for the public and has performed for Country and Gospel jamboree's, fairs, numerous religious,
private, and civic functions, traveling throughout the Southwest. Terry has been "on the road" singing since 1998 and continues to go wherever needed as much
as his schedule allows.
Since 1999, Terry has written and recorded several Gospel and Country songs and released his first Gospel CD, "ONE CROSS", which includes eight songs he has written. The title song, "One Cross", was released in Nov.,2002 thru HMG/Nashville, and was in the "Top 100" of the Christian Country Music chart for nine consecutive months! He has also signed publishing contracts for some of the songs he has written. Terry recently completed a second album entitled ,"Thunder, Lightning, and Jesus",which was released in May,2005.
Terry has sold over 1900 copies of his music thru various performances and thru independent businesses that wanted to support his music sales. Terry has a self-supporting music career but has had various people who have donated to support his music at various times including his new album. He wants to be sure those people and God are honored by the type of music and testimony he presents as a result of their love and support.
