The game of golf is one that requires skill, creativity, power, and most of all patience. It is a game full of tradition, and honor. To be a good golfer one must posses an amazing drive to get the ball in the hole. A good golfer does not get discouraged when he or she has a bad hole. A good golfer knows that the next shot could effect the rest of his game in a positive or negative way.
Golf is an obsession that Teddy knows well. He has dedicated five years of his life to honing his game. He has spent countless hours seeking the illusive birdie, and all sorts of other wild game, but if Golf were Teddy's career he would be starving with no home, and no money to practice his craft. He would be seen screaming "WHY GOD!!! WHY ME!!! AH LA LA LA LA LA LA!!!" in the middle of Penn Station, as the police would drag him away to jail. His life would be full of shame and meaningless. Thank God for Music!!!
Teddy Brent Abesamis is a young new york based singer/songwriter. Originally from Canton (Michigan), Teddy began honing his songwriting skills in the Metro Detroit area where he received a bachelors degree in vocal performance from Wayne state University. Soon after his graduation in 2003, Teddy spent his time performing with the Michigan Opera Theatre, and teaching voice lessons. In mid October 2004 Teddy moved to New York to audition for broadway style shows. He has yet to do that...
Upon arriving in New york, Teddy discovered the New York music scene and fell in love. What was once a hobby soon became an obsession, like golf, but unlike golf Teddy possesses a God given gift for music. The kind of gift that cannot be contained and must be shared! Now fully committed to writing, promoting, and performing, Teddy Abesamis Begins his conquest to bring his music to anyone who will listen. That means you, your brother, your sister, your dad, your mom, and even your grandma!!!
Teddy blends components of r&b, jazz, electronic music, and soul with pop to create an urban retro pop sound. He has been influenced by several artists including: Babyface, George Michael, Jamiroquai, Prince, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Gloria Estefan, Ella Fittzgerald, Dave Brubeck, The Neptunes, India Arie, Maroon 5, Jason Mraz, and Kanye West.
