Details:
People are starting to take notice of Ten Foot Drop and the no-nonsense, passionate approach they have to their music. Formed late in 2003 by guitarist David MacKenzie and drummer Calum Jarvie, the band have since played to sell-out local crowds and recorded two EPs, the second of which is to be released this May.

Over the past two years they have constantly sought to refine their sound and explore their own unique style. With influences ranging from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, to U2 and Sugarcult, along with their fearless sense of experimentation, expect to hear fusions of jazz, classic rock, ska, punk, reggae and a whole lot more.

Some eighteen months ago, bassist Tom Ralston and guitarist/vocalist Alistair Flood joined the pair and the band began writing material for their first EP. Since then the band have played numerous shows around the east of Scotland, have a sizeable fan base, and following the release of 'The Dummies Guide to'; continue to get great reviews from the press:

'...the potential to be as good a live act as any.' Student Focus Magazine
'An absolute must have release...' LosingToday.com
'...the thought of what they may become is pretty exciting.' ukbands.net

With considerable amounts of new material on the drawing board, the next few years look to be very exciting for the band as they continue to develop. And as anyone who has heard their cover of The Pink Panther can tell you, they still manage to retain their sense of humour.
