Heavy, Melodic, Weird and Beautiful - It's The Terrors.
12 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Progressive Rock, ROCK: Psychedelic
Details:
The discriminating audiophile's wet dream, this quartet makes eminently listenable songs with bursts of oddball melodic and stylistic departures. Live, they favor improvisation that never sacrifices the qualities that make the songs single-worthy. The result is the ultimate gateway from popular music to more substantial fare. - Ezra Waller (CityBeat)
---------------------------------------------------------
Heavy. Melodic. Weird. Beautiful.
Progressive in a classical way. Dark but emotionally uplifting. Adventurous and still radio-friendly.
Welcome to The Terrors. You can't listen to their music without being transported into uncharted portals of your own imagination. The music stays with you long after the final chord has rung out.
The Terrors were born in the summer of 2004 and immediately exploded onto the bustling Cincinnati music scene. After playing locally for a month, they quickly had fans and media begging for recorded material. Their sound caught the ear of local engineer and producer Chris Schmidt of Shepherds Pie Recording Studio and the two parties started recording the bandsâ first full length album immediately.
Based on the early recordings he heard from The Terrors and Schmidt, world renowned engineer and producer, Erwin Musper (David Bowie, Van Halen, Jeff Beck) signed the band to his newly formed record label, YeaYeaYeah Records, and the band went back into Musperâs studio to complete what would be their ambitious debut album, Foolish Treasure Hunter - a limited edition CD/DVD package containing videos for each track, 5.1 DTS surround sound mix and many other extras. Filled with songs ranging from curiously eerie ballads to heavy psychedelic progressive rockers, âFoolish Treasure Hunterâ is primed for a bigger stage.
With the release of Foolish Treasure Hunter, The Terrors continue to gain fans and notoriety across the Midwest. They are currently setting up an East Coast tour in February 2006.
