The story of "East Meets West" begins one sunny Phoenician afternoon. Stretched between the rooms of a small studio apartment by ¼ inch cable we tracked 8 lines of audio live to ADAT. Over the course of the next few months we spent available evenings doing overdubs, harmonies, solos, experiments with various gadgets and instruments, and alternate arrangements. We brought in friends (and crickets) pausing occasionally so planes could fly by. The album is very much a product of the environment in which it was created; very open and raw. Between the day jobs, weddings, and overseas vacations, we came up with a blue print of what we wanted to hear, but the recording process unfolded slowly and organically. The body of music is a diary of life that spans years, emotions, and coasts. East Meets West...and everything in between. Enjoy.
