COUNTRY: Country Folk

Details:
"Restless Heart", produced by Bill Botrell between winning a grammy for Sheryl Crow and another for Shelby Lynn, is an underground classic up to now only available at performances. It was recorded live on 2 inch tape with everyone in the same room. Tex is the main guitarist on this with his son,Guy, age 14 at the time, and Botrell trading or doubling the lead parts. There is a little bit of overdubbing, but not much, and almost none on the vocals.
I know people who have played this record every day for the last 4 to 5 years. It sounds almost exactly like Tex's band did in shows at the time, even if he was two and a half sheets to the wind during most takes and three on the remaining few.
"What a life I lead","Blue Girl", and "Get a load of that sunset", are some of the strangest western songs ever recorded, and most of the other tracks aren't far behind. Has anyone else ever used the phrase, "lonely as a drilling rig shrouded in mist."? If you have, contact Heartbreak Records, and if we believe you, we'll send you a prize.
To quote the notorious Bill Ding, and these are his only slightly expergated words, "Anybody who doesn't like this record is a f***ing idiot."
