Artist: TeeJay Blakk Music Abilities: Music producer/rapper Music Style: Hip Hop and R&B TeeJay Blakk drew a lot of inspiration and encouragement from his childhood and all that affected his world. Born in Los Angeles, California, TeeJay who is now 27, from the beginning, would create songs and melodies and record them onto tape to later perform for anyone who was willing to give him the chance to express himself. He became intrigued with rap when his uncle would recite lyrics from Run-DMC, N. W. A. and 2- Life Crew. Driven to create songs and to get a deal, his persistence grew stronger, by the year. His motto âI will persist until I succeed.â TeeJay founded The Meth Lab Entertainment in 2001 as a small indie label & music production company based in Las Vegas. From The Meth Lab, TeeJay produced his first album titled âTeeJay Blakk-Neon Oasisâ. This project featured the Las Vegas hit single âBreak Me Offâ with special guest rappers Kid Frost and Las Vegasâ very own Johnny Boy. This song was highly requested on HOT 97.5âs âStreet Fuegoâ. This album also includes âEye Candyâ which was a 98.5 KLUC Local Battle Zone champion. TeeJay, becoming an in-demand producer, managed to produced 8 hot singles for local rappers Johnny Boy, Synful and The FCM Click, which has made the HOT 97.5 Street Fuego play list. One song, by Synful, has made it to the âpick of the weekâ. This is when the radio station adds the highest requested song from Street Fuego into regular rotation for a week. TeeJay also produced a sizzling R&B single for local singer Felina B., which is in moderate rotation at Power 88.1 KCEP. Las Vegas became his home nine years ago in hopes to perfect and polish his talent. In the process of his creativity, he developed a new sound and style: hip hop mixed with Vegas swing and swagger to make âVegas Rapâ. TeeJay is currently developing, manufacturing and marketing his up coming projects for The Meth Lab Ent. and is rapidly becoming the hottest label and producer in the Vegas Valley.
