T.J. McBride is an anointed minstrel for the body of Christ. He loves the Lord with all his heart, mind, and soul. His goal is to spread the love of Jesus Christ through the musical gifts that have been bestowed upon him.
It was at the early age of six years old that God developed him into a talented musician. He became a percussionist in his early years as he developed his keyboard skills. He then went on to study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music. He developed into a versatile musician, specializing in different genres of music, such as classical, gospel, jazz, Latin, etc. He has studied vocal, choral, percussion, piano, and organ during his musical career.
God has truly blessed him with a gift to arrange and perform music, especially gospel music. Heâs had the privilege of having several of his songs recorded by gospel artists such as: Gospel Music Workshop of America; Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts Seminar; Bible Way Christian Center; Heirs to the Throne; Divine Faith Ministries Choir; and several others. His most recent project is a prayer meditation release entitled, âLet the river flowâ.
He was licensed and ordained to the ministry under the pastoral ship of Dr. Joseph E. Simmons. He was consecrated to the office of Elder in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship in June 2001. He then answered his call to pastoral ship in April 2005 under the leadership of Pastor Donald E. Battle. He now is the Pastor of Tabernacle of Praise Church, where the motto is âwhere praise meets your every needâ.
He is married to Shunnae L. McBride, and is the proud father of three beautiful children: Ashli, Andrew, and Alexis McBride.
