Details:
Take The Wheel is an Aspen, CO based trio whose musical roots span almost every genre of modern popular music. Since 1999 Damian Smith, Michael Jude & John Michel have been performing nearly 150 dates a year at everything from clubs & theaters to festivals and private functions all over the US and Europe.
TTW also has the unique pleasure of performing as the John Oates Band when John has time to pursue his solo carreerr outside of his busy schedule with the legenday Hall & Oates. The band recently performed on Oates' solo CD entitled "Phunk Shui".
"Take The Wheel" was recorded & mixed in late '05 by John Hampton (Stevie Ray Vaughn, Gin Blossoms) at Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN. The band chose Ardent for the facility's deep musical legacy including albums such as Led Zeppelin III & ZZ Top's Deguello.
Take The Wheel set out to make a modern classic rock album. They have certainly achieved that with this release.
Damian Smith offers 4 additional titles on CDbaby including two vintage titles by Funkhouse and two solo releases.
