Hailing from Rotterdam, this young lady started singing before she could even speak. Born into a musical family with a father who played the bass guitar, her musical influences include greats such as Quincy Jones & Curtis Mayfied. Tashaâs World is signed to The Klinik Music Productionsâ¦..and we can proudly say that we now have a genuine quality artist based in Europe, made in Europe and who is ready to take on the world! An accomplished singer/songwriter who has written the large majority of her songs but is not afraid to open up to other writers who understand her style and who she is. The album has been completed the way she envisioned it. This is truly organic soul.
One of her first live performances since enlisting the services of her Manager and Agent was her performance at the Jill Scott official after party at The Paradiso in Amsterdam on 22/23 February, 2002. Jill Scott stood and watched with disbelief that this girl was actually Dutch and unsigned. Jill Scott sang along and clapped after every track. When the show was over she screamed "Moreâ¦More" and waited to greet Tashaâs World after the show. All of this hard work has seen "Tashaâs World" perform at the Lowlands Festival with attendance figures of over sixty thousand people, SOB's in New York, Noth Sea Jazz in Cape Town and in Holland, The Jazz Cafe in London three times. She headlined the India Tent at the Lowlands Festival, which showcased all of the Essent Award winners and rocked the tent attended by 7,000 people. Prior to the Lowlands performance, she was awarded an Essent Award which is an award given to the acts most likely to become household names in the very near future. "Tashaâs World" is also proud to be the first unsigned artist with the most press inserts in the history of The Netherlands.

Taking every opportunity to perform with appearances on television shows such as Rayman Is Laat, Bradaz, the MTV Europe âDrum Rhythm Specialâ and in September 2002 she was on the MTV Lowlands special. "Tashaâs World'" has also appeared on Paradiso Life, one of the most credible live televised music programmes in Holland - all helped to boost the profile of this young lady.

At the beginning of the 2003, Echoes Magazine voted the Tashaâs World album as one of its Top 25 Of The Year. It also voted the track âStalkerâ from the album as one of its Top 10 Tracks of the Year. In addition to this, the album was also voted by Chris Wells, Editor of Echoes magazine as one of his Top Five Albums of the Year. The album was also voted by Dave Cee of www.soul24-7.com online radio station, as his Album of the Year. All of this and these people had to import the album from Japan. Following these accolades saw the debut performance of Tashaâs World and her band at Londonâs Jazz Café on 29th January 2003. The night was completely sold out and received excellent reviews. Following the success of her UK debut, Tashaâs World was asked to perform again at the Jazz Café on 29th June by special request.

In May 2003 Tashaâs World and her production company The Klinik Music Productions became the proud winners of the prestigious NatWest EMMA Award 2003 (Ethnic Multicultural Media Awards) for the category âBest World Music Act/Productionâ. This event was broadcast on BBC2 and produced by TOP THE POPS Chris Cowey. She was also asked to perform at the official launch party for the event held at The Victoria & Albert Museum.
