Details:
Tatyana Tenenbaum is a singer/songwriter, composer and dancer. She has been singing and performing in the Pioneer Valley, MA since 2000. She has played at the Pioneer Valley Arts Festival, Fire and Water Cafe, The Black Sheep as well as various locations around NYC, Brooklyn and Ohio. Tatyana has a passion for experimentation that explores sound and movement as synthesized performance. In November she performed with the Berlin-based performance art ensemble Die Audio Gruppe (the Audio Group), whose dancers perform in electroacoustic costumes to create mobile and multi-acoustic sculptures.
Tatyana was the recipient of the NFAA (National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts) 2002 ARTS Award in Composition, with an Honorable mention in Popular Voice.
Tatyana will enter her fifth year at Oberlin College this fall, pursuing a double degree in Interdiciplinary Composition from Oberlin Conservatory and a Dance from Oberlin College.
"Bushwick is the New Black" features the likes of Jake Last (meldoica, saxophone), Makaya McCraven (drums, percussion), Chris Dale (bass, tape loop), Noah Bond (drums) and other delicious sound clips. Recorded at Watercourse Records in Amherst, MA.
Tatyana tried out for a reality show once. She didn't make it on.
