So What Is Fishmas, anyway?

It's a way for fishermen to sing along at Christmas and think about their favorite hobby - FISHIN'. Fishmas was a way for our family to all come together at Christmas and sing and laugh together, and we felt a need to pass that joy and love along. Fishmas is a state of mind - it is Christmas only one day a year, but it's Fishmas all year long.

Fishmas started as an idea Cap'n Steve had while living in Key Largo. That Christmas while they were visiting the family in NJ, he and Cap'n Keith started talking and laughing as they junked up perfectly good Christmas songs, and soon, with the help of Cap'n Bob and Steve II, the idea grew into creation.

Steve and Keith came up with some arrangements and called Evan, Steve's longtime friend and keyboard player. The next thing we knew - Merry Fishmas 2U was done and we were playing it for all of our friends and family. They laughed and sang along just like we did when we first started, and we knew that the magic of Fishmas had been passed along to them, and it was good.

So laugh, sing and enjoy the state of mind that is Fishmas.
