Tony Messina is a native Philadelphian. He is a pop/jazz vocalist and songwriter who has appeared live in concert from coast to coast and internationally at jazz festivals, theatres, and nightclubs, and has performed at special events honoring such entertainment luminaries as Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra.
Tony has acted in several films; most noteworthy are two of Mel Brook's films, HISTORY OF THE WORLD PART 1 and LIFE STINKS. He has also appeared in the tlevision series GENERAL HOSPITAL and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and inthe ttelevision special PEEPING TIMES with David Letterman.
Tony has four CDs on R & M Jazz Records. All CDs have a combination of classic standards and original songs. He is presently writing and producing a new show to tour nationwide called "DINO" where Tony will channel Dean Martin who was a recording, television and film star. It is in his live performances where Tony is able to shine, combining his songwriting, acting and singing into shows that are a model of what Cabaret ought to be...intimate, emotionally expansive and great fun.
