If you have ever been in Phoenix, Arizona long enough then there is a good chance that you heard of âThe Repâ. This artist, also known as Brandon Kagel, is a native to the fastest growing city in the US. He was born into a Jewish family as a triplet with two sisters and an older brother. Although, he did make the news for his miraculous entrance he is better known for his ability to create music and touch lives.
Since the release of his first project in 2001, titled Street Prophecy, âThe Repâ toured across the U.S. and appeared on T.B.N. on numerous occasions. Not only has he raised the ears of the Gospel industry, but he has also captivated the minds of the secular alike. âProofâ, a former member of Eminemâs âD12", contacted âThe Repâ in interest of his music prior to his unfortunate murder on April 11, 2006. In March of 2009, âThe Repâ released his second album, Say No More, with an overwhelming response from the streets. His lyrical storytelling ability infused with clever âword playâ often puts his listeners in a âDid he just say thatâ stupor. âThe Repâ is quickly becoming one of the most sought after rappers rising out of Phoenix, Arizona!
The Rep is currently unsigned. However, he has recently partnered with âThe Whosoeversâ (www.thewhosoevers.com), a movement lead by lead singer Sonny Sandoval of the multi platinum band, âP.O.D.â Brian âHeadâ Welch (formerly the bass guitarist of the multi platinum band âKornâ), Ronnie Faisst of X Gamesâ Metal Mulisha, Lacey of the platinum band âFlyleafâ and Ryan Riess of Exit Concerts. With a USA tour underway and another album on the horizon.... THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
