Details:
Steel Tormentor were founded in 1997 by Guitarist & vocalist James Kelly. The goal was to play music in the vein of his favorite bands Iron Maiden, Judas Priest & Helloween.
It wasn't till early 2004 James found a line up stable enough to record the debut 10 track album "Unleashed". James took care of all the guitars & vocals as well as all the recording & production. He was joined on drums by Seanie Walsh & Paul Newell on bass guitar. The cd was recorded over a 10 week period in James's home studio.
The cd got a great response when it was released metal hammer are qouted as calling it a fine effort & defiantily old school album its also has gained high marks by every magazine & webzine that has reviewed it...
Since the recording of Unleashed the band has changed to a four piece with James Kelly on vocals/guitar,John Hanly bass guitar,Norman Rafter guitar & Paul Donnellan drums...
They are currently in a studio working a new cd due for release in late 2005.
