"Momentum" is the first commercial digital synth-rock EP released by independent film/game composer George R. Powell (under the pseudonym of Setu Firestorm, a tradition kept from the 7 years of making digital synth-rock on the side from scoring films).

With each album, Powell attempts to change the rock sound to something of a different atmosphere. "Momentum" is a reflection of the 1980's synth-based pop/rock style that is rarely seen in the new millenium.

The album kicks off with an intro track, written by entertainer/writer Stephen Motroni, that introduces the listener to a story about a journalist who is taking a train on his travels and encounters a young woman. Upon talking to her, he finds out that she has run away from her family in an attempt to emancipate herself. The album flows through the conversation as the writer tries to persuade the girl that running away from your problems does not solve them, and he convinces her to at least write to her family to reconcile with them if she is determined to continue pursuing her own future.
