10StepsBack is a group of young guys who have a passion for music and like to express themselves with it. They are from Buford, Georgia with ages ranging from 12 to 15 years old. Their music is considered a mix between the energized rock of Switchfoot, Anberlin, Mutemath and Remedy Drive to the melodic sound of U2. Although a young band, 10StepsBack has a live show experience passing the tests of much older musicians. Playing college, high school and middle school shows, benefits and fairs, along with city and church sponsored events, have kept them busy but drives them to do more. The band is constantly expanding their music to include new originals, along with some crowd favorite covers.

Aspirations to accomplish something big and to have their music make a positive impact in someoneâs life, is the goal. The guys say, "In a world full of uncertainty and hopelessness, we want to show people a greater hope to believe in, a way to make a difference in someone's life, a way of moving forward through the day to day and setting your eyes on the true prize of life; not the temporary things of this world but eternal things that really matter."

The band consists of frontman Ian Taylor (guitars, vocals and piano), Dalton Hampton (percussion), and London Taylor (bass and backing vocals). Ian states the bands drive; âIt seems like whenever I pick up a guitar, everything changes. Not only is there a passion for music, but we also have a passion for God. Without knowing Him, our talents would be of no use. Our music tells people that there is still hope no matter what. Our music is a way to get through to the audience the fact that God is interested in us and wants us to know him.â Even the band's name, 10StepsBack, tells the story of a God that was so interested in a man's life, that as a sign he would be healed, caused time to move ten steps backwards. What a cool way to show the awesome power and healing grace of the living God.

10StepsBack brings a distinct sound and obvious passion, to an energetic music experience that inspires people to look for a deeper meaning to this life. The band just completed the recording of their debut EP and are looking forward to getting back in the studio to record a long list of originals. One of these songs is called, "Moving Forward" and thatâs what these guys intend to keep doing. âNo matter what people throw at you to tear you down, or how many times they say, you're too young or old to do something big, you just got to keep on moving... moving forward.â So hold on, itâs going to be an exciting ride!
