Details:
"Frank Swings" is my first release of original material. Prior to the recording sessions of November 2010, the project had been on the "drawing board" for about three years (when the first song unexpectedly appeared in my head) while the songs were tested repeatedly on live audiences. I found that as much as listeners enjoy hearing the time-tested "classic" standards thta I'd perform there was often an even greater applause for a solid performance of one of my originals.

I think the songs fit the jazz swing vocals genre more than any other with the exception of "That's How Our Story Ends" which I find very 60's bluesy-pop.

It should be evident from the performances that the local musicians that I assembled for the session are absolutely top notch. Their already impressive resumes have been made even more impressive with the swinging performances created in the recording studio.

If the response from these tracks is very positive I will record more originals in the future. I have quite a few more where these came from and have new ideas poppping into my head every week.
