Biography:
Stan is on it one mo time. After the monstrous storm Katrina brought so much destruction to the great city of New Orleans, his hometown, Stan wrote the CD titled âFire On The Bayouâ. As Stan said he wrote songs around persons, places, things and events he remembered while living in New Orleans. There are fourteen (14) songs on this CD. As a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Fire On The Bayou has first class rated performances throughout balanced with moods, emotions and dead serious musical movements, shake that body style. Stan told me; New Orleans was a hybrid place of musical influences by Africaâs slave rhythms brought to New Orleans doing the slave trade. New Orleans is like no other place in the world. As the song Take It To The Streets says, a culture without a future. Stanâs songs shall lock into your brain for keepsake soul soothing experiences. In suggesting favorites on this CD, I do not know where to begin. The songs on this CD are all great. Looking back over my notes as I listened to this CD for the first time my comments were this is a hit song, here is a winner, and the right people are going to jump on this one. I think when you hear all the tracks on this CD; the title is going to make great sense, much fire on the bayou. Inasmuch, the musical styles are very understandable for every ear that listen to this CD. Stanâs styles range from Smooth Jazz, Instrumentals, R&B, Hip Hop and Rap. A fantastic fit of music for everyone to get their groove on. Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez in other words Let The Good Times Roll for forever. Remembering The Great City of New Orleans and Hoping For a Fast Reconstruction.
Riding On The Waves:
Remember this CD âRiding On The Wavesâ is still available. There are seventeen (17) songs of which the bonus track was Nominated as a Finalist and Honorably Mentioned in the Instrumental Jazz World, Song of the Year. Stan assembled a small Jazz Orchestra, inasmuch soloed instruments on some of his tracks normally found performing classical pieces. Therefore, with this ventured approach his âCool style of Jazzâ surfaced on this CD. Excellent Music for Meditating, Relaxing, or just Dancing.
