Catchy tunes with laid-back vocal harmonies, sometimes carried by Latin American rhythms - sometimes enveloped by cool flavours of Britpop. Easy-going Worldbeat meets the genres of traditional folk and classic singer-songwriter. Wädi Gysi and Michael Morris are free of stylistic and linguistic limitations on their eleven compositions and one English cover version of Bune Huber's 'Honigmelonenmond'.
Tour guides Gysi and Morris of Tonight & Only embark on the acoustic joyride of their second CD with passengers Mich Gerber (bass), Büne Huber (guitar, backing vocals), Brigitte Rieder (cello) and Irene Schmidlin (accordeon). These illustrious names make Zoobaloo much more than a colourfully thrown-together album. They contribute to the otherwise only two-piece live band with inspiring arrangements and distinctive sounds without ever taking away the lightness and sincerity of the duo's presence.
For the two professional musicians, Gysi and Morris, creative and technical skills go hand in hand with both passion and humour. Here we see craftsmanship with a twinkle in the eye and mastery with heart. Tonight and Only don't just do music - they play it!
