Details:
Tom was born at a very young age in Berkeley, California.

He made his first recording at the age of 5, captured on tape singing the 'Na Na's' from 'Do the Hustle.' Encouraged by the accolades he received from this performance, he decided it was time to begin his formal musical education. And begin he did with piano lessons at age 6. He followed that by starting to play the drums at age 10 (Tom's fellow 7th grader Shannon Taylor played the drums and was getting all the chicks, so it seemed like a good idea), and guitar at 18 (pianos are not all that portable).

Tom then embarked on his international performing career, traveling with various A Cappella groups all over the US and then to Russia, Estonia, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and the UK.

Spelling Water is Tom's first solo album. It showcases his voice (one fan described it as 'like butta'), songwriting craft, and flair for vocal arranging which he developed during his A Cappella singing days.

The songs and lyrics can be thoughtful, as in track 4, titled 'Gray': "I don't know, I think that pain is alright - it's sharp and it's clear and the blade reflects the light").

They can also be playful and fun, such as track 2, titled '4 A Little while': "Invite me in and tie me down, get your adjective much closer to my noun, wrap your numbers around my dial for a little while..."

Tom's favorite is performing live, where he loves to improvise songs about people on the spot. He smiles a lot, laughs a bunch, and refuses to give anything but the very best hugs.
