An emerging new sub-genre, "Treggae" is Reggae based but with Electronica/Trance like influences...

Details:
This is TOXTETH's second CD release, and as such is a natural progression from the first CD "Subliminal", which was a mainly House based album with some Reggae influences. "A Handfull Of Succulent Riffs" is by nature Reggae based, with some Dub/Electronica/Trance influences thrown in for good measure. This is a new "Sub genre" which I like to call "Treggae" and will continue to develop this "genre" during future releases.

Toxteth, is the musical vehicle of producer Alvin Christie, and is actually the name of the district in Liverpool(England) where he was born.
Alvin has been involved in the music industry since playing rythm guitar in seminal late 70's Reggae band "Dambala", who scored a No4 in the Black Music and Jazz Review 12" charts with "Zimbabwe" and also scored a hit alongside Jimmy "Easy" Lindsay with "Ain't No Sunshine", and were also voted "Most Promising British Newcomers" by BMJR's readers in 78.

Alvin now lives and works out of Oslo in Norway, after having moved there in 1996.
