Not space music, but music from space. The band from the planet Toubrec takes a stab at earthly frequencies
13 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Instrumental Rock, ROCK: Classic Rock
Details:
A message from the Brave Toubrec Combo: âHello, I am Sotchy, I play an instrument that resembles your upright bass.
I also play an instrument that sounds like your electrical bass. Qimcan plays the keyboards. Zo-Mathra plays the Jhoonzin. Tu-EL plays something similar to your âdrooms and changlesâ.
We have heard your Elvin Jones, he is an excellent drummer, and we also like Hang On Sloopy. We hope you will enjoy our music. It is our first attempt to write and play earthly musicâ
Naturally one of the first challenges in working with the combo, was communication. After several elaborate experiments, it was determined that a simple larynx box would bring the frequency of their âvoicesâ to a range that we could understand. Sotchy, having the most audible voice, was elected spokesman for the group.
The group was fascinated with jazz, and the necessity to actually plug instruments and amplification into electrical outlets. On their native Toubrec, there is no âelectricityâ as we know it.
They were also amazed that Toubrec is unknown here, even to our scientists and astronomers. âWe are much closer than the planet you call UB313, that has received so much attention here on earthâ, Sotchy stated. âIt would only take you 6 months to reach our planet, and that is why we have called this project âTake Sixâ he explained. âWe are not that far from you in distance or music.â
