Tim Anderson was the seventh child of a musical family from a suburb of Los Angeles, CA. In my house everyone played or had studied a musical instrument for some period of time no matter how little time it was. Like many young African American musicianâs Tim had most his heart and sold training rooted in the familyâs local church, a Church of God in Christ (C.O.G.I.C) institution. At the COGIC church loud spiritual music was very important. He played his tenor saxophone as loud as he could, trying to hear himself against a full blown âHammond B3 with the loadest Leslie Speakers,â the standard accompanying instrument besides the piano. The soul of Tim Andersonâs sound comes from the loud soulful and sometimes mournful gospel church. Tim later studied classical tenor saxophone at Linfield College and California State University Northridge. He played with many different orchestras, groups, and recorded many projects for various artist. Wayne Shorter, Miles Davis, and any music with feeling, is his love. Claude Debussy and much of the Impressionistic period music is important to Tim. After playing oversees for a little over many years he decided to record some music that he enjoys no matter whoâs listening. âLife is understood in music because the soul must speak at some point to let oneâs self know that theyâre alive.â Tim is married with a wife and one son.
The combination of the creative mind and talent of Stephen R. Duhart birthed this CD. Stephen is one of the producers that brings his raw reality with him. I have had the pleasure and been blessed to meet a person in Stephen that happened to be on a similar sphere as I. Stephen said lets do this and I could not believe their was another person in Stephen, with the production and creative skills to pull it offâ¦
