Todd Kessler is a local Chicago artist chartting new ground in the already vibrant music scene. Recently out of the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana with a degree in music theory & composition, Todd has brought his knowledge of songwriting to the forefront with his powerhouse debut, "we are the musicmakers."
Todd began singing at a young age and has studied guitar since the age of twelve; he began composing soon after. Playing in bands in high school and college, Todd found his sound as a solo artist playing the local clubs and bars in Chicago and the surrounding area. He is now backed by the dynamic alt-Bluegrass five piece band, Small Shiny Things.
