The Triple X Playaz
established in 1998, currently working on their fifth album "My Gameâs On"
are on a mission to put the under-estimated Bay Area artists on the map.
They started with their first album "Urban Legends"(1998) which made noise on the underground scene with tracks like "415" and "Battle Cry" selling over 500 units and then followed up with "Jiggy, Killa and Mar"(2001),
a 2nd album which featured;
Mr. Kee, Baldhead Ric, Maino (11/5), Louie Loc, 10-sion, T-Mac
and also included up and coming artists Charlie Manhattan and Regal, who is a member of the group "The Heat Seekaz" out of Hunters Point.
After only 5 weeks of the scheduled release date of the album, over 1000 units were sold, featuring tracks such as
"Donât Front", "Sometimes" and "Who Got The Heat"
At this point, heads began to turn and their fan base began to grow and with their second successful album, they began to work on their first mix tape
"Freedom of Speech Vol. 1" (2004)
This collaboration of hardcore rap, influenced by the Bay Area rap scene, gave them an overall sound that not many people were used to and had interested many key individuals who helped push their music beyond its boundaries, from the East Coast, down to the Dirty South and even as far as the Caribbean Islands. Since then, their mix tape has recieved radio play in states such as New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Texas, and parts of California.
While receiving compliments for their skills displayed in their 1st three albums, they have now finished their forth album "Shots Out"(2005) that is now available for purchase, which touched upon the struggle on the streets, the grinding involved, the partying, battling, even touching upon sex, the power of money and the hardships of earning respect. The album featured; The Good Fellonz, Errelevent, and the City Side Crew with now popular tracks such as "Place 2 Be" and "Shots Out". They have also managed to create the "Richman" video which will be available on this website in the near future.
"We care about all of the people who
have supported us through the years, friends,
family and of coarse our fans cause theyâve spent their
own time and money on us and I personally feel that
this is the best way to give back to everyone,
to show'em our skills and our appreciation."
Young Mar (M.Brando)
The disstape is dedicated to all the non-believers that underestimated the talent of the Triple X. Young Mar is "M.Brando" and is firing back on all rivals with a vengeance. The disstape is personal, and to the point and includes music from their up coming project T.X.P."My Gameâs On"
