Ziggie, aka Scott Ziegler, is originally from Buffalo NY, but after a tour in the Navy he settled in Charleston SC and has called this area home for the past 14 years.
Ziggie plays Christian Rock that goes between the harder styles and good old rock'n'roll. His first and most basic influences are the Beatles and Led Zeppelin followed closely by Phil Keaggy and Petra. He has the interesting quality of sounding fresh and retro at the same time. His voice has recently been likened to Mac Powell of Third Day.
Ziggie plays rhythm and bass guitars and has also picked up a bit of lead. He has been known to play at a drum kit and just about any hand percussion instrument there is. He also plays a little keys now and then.
Ziggie's interest in music began when he was 5 years old and by age 9 he was learning to play guitar. He met the Lord Jesus Christ when he was 13 and in a few years started playing in the youth group band at his church. Recognizing the call on his life for music ministry at 17, Ziggie began to walk with God and writing songs to tell about it.
Ziggie has been leading praise and worship since 1997 and has led six of the eight worship teams he's been a member of. He has played with five Christian bands. He took part in the New Wineskins Conference at Ridgecrest NC and led worship for March for Jesus in Charleston SC, both in 1997. He also has the following experience:
