Phillip Germaine was born on the 4th of September 1952, the third of four boys in Brooklyn, New York and was raised in Long Island. His father, Frank had strong Irish roots and his mother, Phyllis, was the daughter of Italian immigrants. The boys were raised with strict Catholic beliefs, were enrolled in private schools, and lived a very middle class life. In the spring of 1970, Phil became a graduate of Seaford High School. Later that year, he bought his first guitar at a yard sale. It wasn't much, but it played. Phil married in '72, but the marriage was short-lived, he didnt know it then, but his soul mate was waiting.

In December of 1975, Phil met a petit young lady, only 18, and recently widowed with two very young sons Joshoa and Jacob. The youngest son, Jacob, even shared the same birthday as Phil. These four soon became a family, and Phil a dad. They moved across the country together, from Pennsylvania, where they met, to New Jersey, then Arizona and on to Colorado, where on a sunny day in July Jessica Christine was born. Another Move brought them to Kentucky, where only one week after Phil's 29th birthday, the family was completed with the birth of daughter Jody Lin.

Family life was good for Phil, he excelled in the food service industry, becoming a pretty good chef. His music, however, was on hold. Phil's career as a gormet chef flourished in Tennessee, where he was instrumental in the opening of many local restaurants and became the first executive chef at the Nashville Convention Center.

Phil's father had been a diabetic for many years and his health was consistently fading, and wanting to be near his father, Phil moved the family to Florida where, after 14 years of devotion and kids ranging from ages 7 to 15, Phil and Norma decided to legally tie the knot. The wedding was held on the beach and all the kids participated. Sadly, Phil's father passed away only a short few years later. Longing for a different atmosphere, the family moved to North Carolina.

The kids are all grown now. One son is an electrician, another is married and Phil is awaiting the birth of the first grandchild. One daughter is a talented artist and the other is soon to be a college graduate.

For so many years, the musician's dream has gone by the wayside. The time has come. Now Phil is writing songs about his family and some of the great adventures he has experienced through the years plus some new and current stuff...things that are happening RIGHT NOW.
