From John A. Walsh & friends, the "Attic's" sound is reminiscent of classic 1970's soft/California/country-rock with an original & fresh approach complete with big acoustic rhythm, inventive electric leads, thoughtful lyrics, and embraceable melodies.
11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Acoustic, POP: 70's Pop
Details:
Boyhood musical friends, John A. Walsh, David George, Jeff George, and Steve McCarthy reunited in 1996 and formed studio band Georgeâs Attic. Life intervened and had taken each of them in different directions for the previous 15 years; fortunately, circumstances brought them back together to pick up where they had left off.
Between 1996 and 2002, Georgeâs Attic recorded three albums of completely original music: âChasing Down the Wind,â âTorments of Vanity,â and âCobalt Blue.â
David George and John A. Walsh continue to record to this day. John A. Walshâs âSongbookâ was released in 2003, and there is a new record set for release in early 2007.
âCobalt Blueâ is the seminal Georgeâs Attic recording and likely the last. From the rocking opener/title cut to the powerful closing tribute to the victims of the 9/11 tragedy, âOn this Turning World,â the listener will find this record completely satisfying.
