Gomes has been in the fore front of experimental cutting edge sound design. However Dance music has always been his domain for as long as he can remember.

Havin collaborated with many artists, Fade to Black is essentially Gomesâs first commercial release..

The first 4 tracks borders on trip hop with the
last 3 tracks spearheading into very electro
breaks and alternative sounding electro and
crunching beats.

Vocalists on Track 1 Missing are Muragishi
Hiroaki and Kentaro Ide

Vocalist on Track 2 Free is Humaa Rathor

Vocalists on Track 4 Never Wanted are
Kentaro and Humaa on the hook.

The verses spoken by Muragishi on Missing
were actually taken off a short film by
Singapore Film Director Royston Tan entitled
Monkey Love which he did last year while
in Japan. He essentially speaks of longing
to find a lost love as he recites his daily
routine in a diary.

The sad thing is that Muragishi actually
passed on about 2 months ago in a tragic
accident leaving leaving all who knew
and worked with him deeply saddened.

Nasty Money is essentially a dance piece.
Wasânt meant to mean anything. Like the
groove, like the hook and it
works

Octave Lives is basically an interpretation
of the highs and lows we go thru in our life.
Might be good to listen to after a bad day.

The song actually takes you thru some
twists and turns with a bitter sweet melody
that becomes sour in the bridge and then
sort of goes into a motivational rhythmn
at the end.


Why the title âFade to Blackâ?

The album has an obvious transition to
becoming darker from start to end as it
draws the listener from musical convention
to the uneven stops and starts in rhythm.
Hence in essence getting darker as the
tracks move from one to another.
