Details:
Fate is a loaded word, a word that speaks of destiny and purpose. But in the midst of a generation bombarded with messages about relativism and finding one's own truth, destiny and purpose are two things that are lacking in today's culture. It is with these messages of destiny, truth, and purpose that Fate of Angels desires to reach a world for Christ. Formed with an intense heart to reach the lost on their terms and in language they understand, Fate of Angels brings a no-holds-barred energy to their rock show. Yet their hearts are equally burdened to ignite a passion within the church and raise up a generation of worshippers. So it is with purpose that Fate of Angels holds up Christ to make Him known and known deeper.

Though formed in the middle of the indie rock scene of Omaha, Nebraska just a year ago, Fate of Angels has seen its own destiny take shape in the lives of its members. All five of the members grew up in the church (John and Jared as pastors' sons) and had faith and music rooted in their lives at an early age. Every member had roles on worship teams and bands growing up. Josh, John and Anthony were the first of the group to meet, and this at a Christian camp ten years prior to the band forming. However the band didn't truly begin to take shape until Jared and Josh, who had formed an acoustic duo, decided they needed more of an edge and invited Josh's friends from camp to join the band. Under the moniker The Livingstons, the quartet continued to refine their sound for two years and make a mark in the midwest music scene. While their sound was still evolving, however, and the band coming into their own, Matt was added to the line-up and Fate of Angels was born.

With a clear sense of purpose and a powerful medium, Fate of Angels is made up of Jared Totten on vocals and acoustic guitar, Josh Kidney on electric guitar and background vocals, Matt Grant on electric guitar and background vocals, Anthony Estrada on bass, and John Wooten on drums and keys. The band has shared the stage with national bands such as Third Day, Superchick, Falling Up, Hawk Nelson, OC Supertones, Sky Harbor and Rebecca St. James to name a few. They have also shared the stage with many local and regional bands in the Midwest and they had the privilege of being a part of the main stage at LifeLight festival. In fall of 2006, Fate of Angels released âThe Morning Lightâ with Grammy Award winning producer, Eric Delegard (Bowling for Soup, Radial Angel, Brave Combo, Drowning Pool). Eric has also worked with major labels such as Maverick, Wind-Up, Jive, Universal, and RCA.

With a call to both the secular and Christian arenas, Fate of Angels strives at every moment to connect with their listener and draw them closer to their Creator. They find both their message and their mission in facilitating that connection. Mark McGowan, coordinator and leader for the Gulf Coast Outreach with YWAM said: âThese guys were everything I âd hoped for in a band; professional, prepared, able to lead worship. They were so personable with our youth and leaders. They worked with the kids both on the sites and in free time. They connected on many levelsâ. So it is with a sense of purpose that Fate of Angels calls all their listeners to know Christ and know Him deeper. One might say it is their fate, but fate is a loaded word.
