ROCK: Progressive Rock, ROCK: 90's Rock
Details:
Born in Brooklyn New York, I am the oldest of three children. At the age of eleven I picked up my first guitar and learned to play by ear and still do. I began listening to rock music and old records my father played on his turn table on the weekends at home. He played tunes of spanish trios. These guys had guitars and vocals that sounded full and powerful. Their lyrics told love stories of joy and heartbreak , and the sound of three guitars without amplification caught my ear. However, rock music was more appealing to me and I began to write songs of my own. Although I play the guitar, I am a drummer and still rocking the clubs with a great bunch of guys that are like family to me. Pat Haynes, a guitarist I met auditioning for a band years ago, plays acoustic guitar on "healing won't start" and "dad's song" is an accomplished musician. His eclectic style and powerful riffs are heard on "back stabbing blues" which he co wrote with me. Pat Haynes as well as playing rock, kicks ass with a jazz band. Dave Wray who plays key board on "dad's song", "healing won't start", "song for Nancy" and "back stabbing blues" is also an accomplished musician. Dave had a great feel to what I needed in the recording of these songs. Dave, whom I like to call Dr Wray, will rock you till you drop. Gorge Zanies who plays bass on "dad's song" and "back stabbing blues" is the hardest working musician I've had the privilege to work with. His love for music and dedication is unmatched.. "Little did they know" is my first crack at composing and performing my own songs. Lots of hard work and long hours went into this, and playing and singing all these tunes was a great challenge. My songs are pieces of times in my life. Some times were good and others where hard, but we all have our stories to tell and this is mine .My hope is that some day a famous artist will use one of my songs on his or her cd. As a member of the Song Writers Guild of America , I am proud to present to you LITTLE DID THEY KNOW. So take a break and relax and enjoy my cd. Thanks for sharing my dream.
