A combination of traditional blues, modern rock, jazz fusion, and gospel helped make Kacee a name in the 90's and gave her the industry reputation of being one of the premier blue-eyed soul singers. Kacee's debut album, Seeing Red, is a stunning tribute

POP: with Live-band Production, BLUES: Funky Blues
Details:
After studying under the repressive bonds of a classical Conservatory of Music, this Northern California native packed her heart and soul and everything else she owned into a truck bound for Los Angeles and the freedom it offered. Kacee wrote, produced, and released her debut CD, Seeing Red, in 1996 and quickly found herself immersed in the vast talent pool of LA, working side by side with players she once admired from a distance equivalent to the space between any given stage and her seat in the venue.
In the summer of 2001, Kacee was cast in the role of a lifetime: playing the lead in "Love, Janis", an off-Broadway production about the life and music of the legendary Janis Joplin. In early 2002, she was asked to join Big Brother & the Holding Co., Janis Joplin's original San Francisco-based band, as their lead vocalist. She spent the next couple of years performing for packed venues full of screaming fans, carving out a name for herself, and solidifying her reputation as a raw and energetic power-house.
2005 once again brought amazing change for Kacee. She joined forces with the legendary Joe Cocker as a background singer on his Heart & Soul world tour. And what a grand adventure it was! Seeing the world, meeting interesting new people, and sharing a stage with one of the most incredible talents around. It doesn't get a whole lot better than that!
Kacee's sophomore effort, Mama Came to Sing, had to be squeezed into the gaps and seams of a busy touring life. It was a long time in the making but well worth the wait. Teaming up with close friends Tom Lilly (producer) and Jon Nichols (both of the Beth Hart Band) proved to be the magical combination necessary to bring the project to fruition. Mama is a blend of hard-hitting rock, funky folk, groovy blues, and moody pop. It is the culmination of lonely days spent on the road and crazy nights spent writing in the studio, and promises to deliver the raw vocals and powerful lyrics Kacee has become known for.
From Kacee: "Of all the blessings in my life, music is the most mysterious and profound. As you listen and become a part of my music, my hope is that you take something profound with you and are thereby blessed as well."
